From Lemonade to 99 Problems, These Are Jay Z's Best Lyrical Zingers

Late last night, the Internet finally got Jay Z's answer to Lemonade. It wasn't nearly as apocalyptic as "Becky with the good hair," but it was still pretty delicious—at least for those of us who have been lying in wait for the rapper to respond to the diss album.
"You know you made it when the fact/ Your marriage made it is worth millions," Jay rapped on the track "All the Way Up." "Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is / Survival of the littlest." Ziinngg.
The rapper was, of course, making reference to the fact that we should all feel super silly for giving away all of our hard-earned money to learn more (possibly exaggerated) gossip about Jay and Beyoncé's relationship woes. And while that burn may hurt just a wee bit, the humor of it all far outweighs any bruise to the ego. And thus is the genius of Jay Z in a nutshell. While the public may obsess over other rap feuds more (like, say, the unending fascination with Meek Mill and Drake's beef), we have to give Hova some credit for all of his lyrical burns. His line on "All the Way Up" wasn't the first, and it certainly won't be the last.
So in that vein, it's time to look back at a few of our favorite zingers, straight from the mouth of Jay.

The Burn: "Was clappin' them flamers before I became famous/ For playin' me y'all shall forever remain nameless" — "U Don't Know"
Who He's Burning: Record labels.
The Burn: "I'm like Windows 7/ You let them tell it/ They swear that they invented you" — "Light Up"
Who He's Burning: Anyone and everyone who's tried to take credit for his success.
The Burn: "So sick of 'I want money like Cosby'/ Who wouldn't/ This the kinda talk that make me think you probably ain't got no puddin'" — "Dead Presidents"
Who He Burned: Everyone but Cosby. Whoops.
The Burn: "Promise to never leave him even if his mama tweakin'/ Cause my dad left me and I promise never repeat him" — "New Day"
Who He Burned: His dad, duh.
The Burn: "See what I discovered is y'all snitch lovers/ I might speak, but I don't f--k with nobody" — "Trouble"
Who He Burned: Anybody who bought albums from his sworn enemy, R Kelly, who Jay famously accused of calling the cops on him.

The Burn: "Probably hustled with your pops, go ask your parents/ It's apparent you're staring at a legend" — "Trouble"
Who He Burned: Lil' Wayne.
The Burn: "I guess men lie, women lie, but numbers don't" — "Brooklyn High"
Who He Burned: His former business partner Damon Dash.
The Burn: "They said Hov was over, such dummies/ Even if I fell I'll land on a bunch of money" — "Success"
Who He Burned: Critics who dissed his previous album.
The Burn: "Mike Jordan of rap, outside Jay working/ Now watch how quickly I drop 50" — "Hova Song"
Who He Burned: 50 Cent, duh.
The Burn: "I'm about a dollar, what the f--k is 50 Cents?" — "It's Hot"
Who He Burned: Again...50.
The Burn: "I damn near beat Jordan in around-the-world" — "N---a Please"
Who He Burned: Michael Jordan, kind of.
The Burn: "If you're having girl problems I feel bad for you son/ I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one" — "99 Problems"
Who He Burned: Surprisingly...police dogs.
