Jay Z and Beyoncé Recruit Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill and Lil Wayne for a Worthy Cause
Because that's what power couples do.
In the wake of the unfortunate news that Tidal isn’t doing so hot, Jay Z and Beyoncé have announced they are making the best of the situation by way of teaming up to put on a charity concert.
As announced, the Tidal-sponsored affair will take place on October 15, at none other than Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and will host performances from some of today’s most influential artists (including Jay Z and Bey, of course).
The star-studded line up will also include Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill and Lil Wayne.
The event’s proceeds will be donated to the Robin Hood Foundation, which focuses on providing education for children in New York City. Tickets for the event are starting at $50, with VIP packages available with a price tag as high as $100,000.
Even though the concert event could financially help Tidal recover from some of it’s recent losses, especially with that lineup, it is extremely honorable Jay Z and Beyoncé are continuing to use their powers to support a charitable cause instead.
