The Once Upon a Time Cast Reveals the One Word That Will Be on Your Mind After the Season 6 Premiere

According to the Once Upon a Time cast, after you watch the season six premiere of their show, there's one word that will be stuck on your mind. Good luck being able to spell it or even pronounce it correctly, though.

When E! News caught up with Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Emilie de Ravin, Rebecca Mader, Colin O'Donoghue, Jared Gilmore, and Josh Dallas (yes, nearly the entire cast) at Comic-Con this summer, we asked them to each sum up the season opener in one word. Right off the bat, Jennifer threw us for a loop. "Dirigible," she said. If you're looking at that and thinking, "Huh?" don't worry. You're not alone.

As everyone broke out into a chorus of "dirigible"s, Lana admitted that the cast needed a bit of assistance when they came upon the foreign word in their scripts. "We all needed to learn how to pronounce it," she said.

For the record, a dirigible is a very unique type of airship. As for how it factors into the action of the premiere, well, you're going to have to tune in to find that out. But trust us, it's important to the storyline.

Something else important to the story this season is the writers' decision to bring the action back to Storybrooke, with the villainous Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer) and the denizens of the Land of Untold Stories invading our heroes' home turf, rather than sending Emma and her crew elsewhere for adventure. "It brings us back home, where it all started. You know, season one was really about the internal family and I think that this season it's going back to that. It's going to be really about our challenges and how we deal with these newcomers."

By breaking from tradition a bit for this season six storyline, which co-creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz confirmed for press at a screening of the premiere won't wrap up 10 episodes in to quickly make way for the next one, the writers are also bringing the show full circle a bit.

"It's also showing that it's a return to returning to happy endings. The original concept of the storytelling of Once Upon a Time was that we were going to restore the happy endings," Jennifer explained. "So as we look at our characters in more depth and sort of introspectively deal with some of their baggage and all of the things that have happened over the last six years, they're also returning to the identity that they have. As the heroes, they're going to help save these happy endings."

Once Upon a Time returns on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
