It’s Official: President Obama Is Down to His Final 100 Days in Office
Don’t cry because it’s almost over, smile because it happened.
The day that we are all dreading is closer than ever — the day President Barack Obama must leave office. Now down to his final 100 days, everyone is wondering how the POTUS feels about his time coming to an end.Although we will certainly miss him as the leader of our country, part of us is looking forward to the incredible things he will be able to accomplish after his tenure in the White House. Just think of the plans and movements he can create without being halted by a salty Congress.
White House press officials have awaited a response to how Obama feels about his dwindling days.
On Wednesday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the president "is looking forward to making the most of every moment that's remaining."
When asked about how Obama is approaching his final days, Earnest responded with the following statement.
"The president is approaching the final 100 days the way that he approached the previous seven and a half years or so, which is seeking to make the most of every remaining opportunity to use the power of this office to advance the interests of this country, to fight for middle-class families, and to keep our country safe," Earnest said. "Part of that is advocating for a successor who is committed to those values and those principles."
Earnest jokingly added that the president is "looking forward to sleeping longer than usual."
